At GSP we provide a full product design
and development service

|
With over 30 years experience in the pattern and
GRP/FRP mould industry, and specialising for the last 17 years in the design and development of moulds for Glass Reinforced Gypsum (GRG) ceiling tiles
and other moulded GRG building products, we can produce precision moulds for virtually
anything. |
Services available:
- PRODUCT DESIGN
- 2D and 3D design of moulded GRG or GRP building elements (including fixing details) using AutoCAD 2000. The same CAD data is also used as the basis for pattern and mould design most of which can be imported into Mastercam for surface and toolpath generation.
- RENDERING AND ANIMATION
- Rendering a 3D CAD model of a proposed building element is a useful tool when presenting your design for approval and is more cost effective than creating a physical mock-up. Using 3D Studio Max, we can render and print in full colour up to A1, transmit small JPG files via email, or animate and record to S-VHS or Hi8 video.
- PATTERNMAKING
- Working to high degrees of accuracy and surface finish, we use a combination of CNC routing and traditional patternmaking skills to create some of the most accurate and finely detailed patterns (or plugs) around. We use Mastercam (v7.2, L3) to create a 3D CAD model (including complex NURBS surfaces) and generate toolpaths for our 3 axis CNC router which has a capacity of 1200 x 1000 x 200mm. All finishing is carried out by hand in many cases up to a Grade A finish.
- MOULDMAKING
- Single or multi part moulds can be made in polyester/glass, epoxy/glass, filled cast epoxy, silicone rubber or other elastomers.
- MOULDING
- We generally rely upon our network of licensees around the world for economic production and supply of GRG tiles and other GRG elements and will be pleased to provide contact details of the most suitable licensee in your area. If this is not possible or your moulding is not GRG (e.g. GRP), we will do our best to help you ourselves.
